Flooding information. Rother DC has published useful information regarding local flooding incidents online.
Rother Voluntary Action. The April edition is now available online and is packed with local information.
Brede High Woods events. Details of forthcoming events are now available.



May Fayre. In order to raise money for the refurbishment of Sedlescombe's iconic pumphouse and its pump, the Parish Council is arranging a traditional May Fayre on the Village Green and in the Queen's Head garden on Saturday 1 May from 2pm. A circus workshop will be included.

We are also hoping to incorporate a Scarecrow Festival for added interest.

Wanted. The Parish Council is collecting stories, memories, photographs, etc. relating to water collecting from the Village pump, or other pumps, in Sedlescombe. Can you add to the collection?

We would also like to borrow some metal or enamel buckets for 1 May Fayre to go with yokes.

Deer Aware. East Sussex Council Council has published a press release regarding the danger of deer on our roads.
Volunteering. Lots of volunteers are needed in the Rother area. Might you be interested? Rother Voluntary Action have published a newsletter with plenty of information.
ESCC review of winter maintenance. An ESCC Scrutiny Committee reviewed the current winter maintenance policy at a meeting on 10 March 2010. Prior to the meeting, a report was produced summarising a review of recent winter operations. The Minutes will be available in due course.

Birdwalk to Powdermill Reservoir. On 22/03/10, expert Birdwatcher, Cliff Dean, posted an interesting description of a birdwalk to Powdermill Reservoir in Sedlescombe. (April 2010) No longer available but Cliff's other birdwatching walks are always interesting to see. Please click on the spyglass to see.
