NEW EAST SUSSEX HIGHWAY ARRANGEMENTS. The County Council has issued a press release regarding new arrangements for dealing with highway maintenance. Twelve "Highways Stewards" have been appointed.

HOUSING BENEFITS. Rother District Council has provided details of changes in some housing benefit from January 2012. Further details here.  

THE SPORTSFIELD DITCH IS DONE! After various delays, the ditch has been cleared out by Mayell Construction from just inside the gate to Ladybird Lane to the river. This is the first time the whole ditch has been done at the same time for a long while. The cost is being met, on this occasion, by the Parish Council with contributions from the Football Club and Pestalozzi International Village.

CASUAL VACANCY, SEDLESCOMBE PARISH COUNCIL. The closing date for ten electors to ask for an election (the cost would have to be met by the Parish Council) is Monday 28 November 2011.


Pestalozzi opens its doors wide to the public.

Pestalozzi International Village Trust in Sedlescombe, East Sussex has undergone some significant changes this year and it is time to show off!

They are opening their doors to the public on Saturday 3rd December from 2pm to 5pm.

The open day will consist of an Introduction from the new Chief Executive Officer, guided tours of our facilities, displays from our students on what Christmas means to them, our archive display and a special performance from the current students at 4pm, with displays of dancing and singing from around the world.  The event will be enjoyable and educational for families of all ages.

People are welcome to come and go as they please throughout the afternoon. Entry into Pestalozzi is free and refreshments will be available including mince pies & mulled wine, donations welcome.

Pestalozzi looks forward to welcoming the public into the village and giving everyone the opportunity to see the recent developments and future plans of the Trust.
