CASUAL VACANCIES. The Parish Council regrets having to announce two vacancies on the Council caused by the retirement of Valerie Wright and Pat Martin.

SEDLESCOMBE'S ANNUAL PARISH ASSEMBLY. More than a hundred people attended this year's Annual Parish Assembly on 17/04/12 with a number of Village organisations and businesses having display tables in the Hall. Speakers were County Councillor Jones and District Councillor Ganly. Pat Martin was presented with a gift from the Council and Valerie Wright, who was chairing her last meeting, was presented with a painting and flowers. Both councillors retired from the Council following the meeting after long periods of service to the Sedlescombe community.

LOOKING FOR A WALK THIS SPRING? The High Weald Area of Natural Beauty has published an interactive walk map, several of which are within easy reach of Sedlescombe. There are eleven walks within 5 miles and 21 within 10 miles.

ANNUAL ASSEMBLY OF PARISH MEETING OF SEDLESCOMBE 2012. The Assembly is always a popular community meeting in Sedlescombe. This is your opportunity to hear reports from your County Councillor, District Councillor and the Parish Council and to ask any questions relating to Sedlescombe. It is taking place a bit earlier this year - TUESDAY 17 APRIL in the Village Hall. Businesses and organisations that have booked tables can set them up around the Hall from 6pm, doors open at 7pm and the meeting proper will start at 7.30pm. All will be very welcome and afterwards please stay for a cup of tea or coffee and a chat.

The Parish Council's Annual Report and Directory has been delivered to every house in the parish and extra copies are available in the shop and the village hall.

Please note that Cllr Mrs Wright will be retiring from the Parish Council following the Assembly after thirteen years as Chairman of the Parish Council. Cllr Martin who is Sedlescombe's longest serving parish councillor will also be retiring at the same time. Sedlescombe wishes them well in their retirement and thanks them for their considerable contribution to Village life.

BEXHILL COLLEGE BUS SERVICE. Alterations to the bus service for students of Bexhill College living in Sedlescombe have been announced. They will brought into place on 16 April.
